All settings

MiruXR keeps its settings in two places:

  • In the glasses, for everything you want to see while you change it: brightness, volume, keyboard, pointer speed and, on Android, VR games. This is where most settings live.
  • On the phone, for the few things that belong to the phone: a connected mouse, Android apps, help and the app language.

The tables below list every setting. "Both" means it works on iPhone and Android.

iPhoneAndroid

To open the settings panel in the glasses, point at the sliders icon and tap. It is on the strip at the top of your view and on the Deck. Tap the icon again, or tap outside the panel, to close it. In a VR game, the VR icon on the strip opens the VR tab directly.

The panel has tabs. Some rows only appear when your glasses or your phone can use them.

Setting What it does Phone
Brightness The brightness of the glasses. Only on glasses that let MiruXR change it. If you change it with the glasses' own button, the panel shows the new value next time you open it. Both
Volume The volume of the phone, which is what you hear in the glasses. Both
Dimming How dark the lenses get, so you see less of the room: Low, Medium or High. Only on glasses with lens dimming that MiruXR can control. Both
Screen size Makes the picture smaller, for glasses that don't have their own screen size setting. MiruXR shows four amber corners: make the picture smaller until you see all four, then tap Done. MiruXR remembers it for those glasses. Both
Setting What it does Default Phone
Keyboard on the glasses On: the keyboard opens in the glasses and you type by pointing at the keys. Off: you type with the phone keyboard. When the app is in Japanese or Chinese, MiruXR always uses the phone keyboard. See Type text. On Both
Laser sensitivity How far the cursor moves when you turn the phone with the Laser pointer. Middle Both
Trackpad sensitivity How far the cursor moves when you slide a finger with the Trackpad pointer. Middle Both
Animations On: the Deck floats, pages slide and the scene moves when you change modes. Off: everything changes at once, without movement. MiruXR also turns them off when Android's Remove animations setting is on. On Android
Widget transparency How solid or see-through the HUD widgets look. This row only appears while you are in the HUD. Both
