Connect your glasses
You plug the glasses into the phone and MiruXR finds them on its own. There is no pairing and no button to press.
iPhoneAndroidConnect
Section titled "Connect"- Open MiruXR on your phone. The first time, it shows a short welcome and asks for a few permissions (see First steps).
- Plug the glasses into the phone's USB-C port, using the cable that came with them.
- MiruXR detects them. On the Connect your XREAL glasses screen you don't need to tap anything: the phone turns into the controller by itself.
- Put the glasses on. MiruXR is in front of you.
To disconnect, just unplug the glasses. When you plug them in again, MiruXR connects again.
Allow access to the glasses
Section titled "Allow access to the glasses"The first time you plug them in, Android asks if MiruXR can use the glasses.
- Allow it.
- Also check the box to always use MiruXR with these glasses, so Android doesn't ask again.
If you said no, the glasses ask you to check your phone. Unplug the glasses, plug them in again and allow it.
While the glasses are connected, Android shows the notification Your glasses are connected. It lets MiruXR keep working with the glasses while you use other apps.
The first time you connect, iOS asks if MiruXR can find devices on your local network. Allow it. This is how MiruXR talks to the glasses: their head tracking, brightness and modes. Without it, the glasses show the picture but MiruXR cannot follow your head.
To change it later: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > MiruXR.
On Samsung: turn off DeX Android
Section titled "On Samsung: turn off DeX "If Samsung DeX is on, it takes over the glasses' display and MiruXR shows Turn off Samsung DeX. Swipe down from the top of the phone screen and tap DeX to turn it off. More in Samsung phones.
No glasses yet?
Section titled "No glasses yet?"During the first setup you can tap I don't have glasses yet to finish without them. MiruXR connects as soon as you plug them in later.
If it doesn't work
Section titled "If it doesn't work"- Nothing shows in the glasses: Glasses not detected.
- The picture shows, but nothing follows your head or you see "Glasses without sensors": Head tracking problems.
