Streaming services

The deck comes with icons for many streaming services. Each one opens the service's website in a window in the glasses, where you sign in with your own account and watch.

iPhoneAndroid

Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Prime Video, Max, Twitch, Hulu, Pluto TV, Plex, Roku Channel, Kick, iCloud, Reddit, Apple TV+, Crunchyroll, Tubi, Paramount+, Peacock, Mubi and Vimeo.

You can remove the ones you don't use and add any other site. See Save a site to the deck.

Service iPhone Android
Netflix Yes No (see below)
Disney+ Yes Yes
Prime Video Not checked yet Yes
YouTube Yes, signed in or not Yes, signed in or not (signing in needs 2.2.1 or newer)

The other services open their website the same way. We haven't checked every one of them on every phone. If one doesn't play for you, please tell us.

Netflix on Android Android

Section titled "Netflix on Android "

Netflix does not play in MiruXR's browser on Android. On Android phones, Netflix only allows its own app and refuses every browser, even Chrome. Its app can't play inside a MiruXR window either, because protected video comes out black there.

What works today: close MiruXR and open the Netflix app on the phone. The glasses show a copy of the phone screen.

On Android, protected video in the browser can also play at a lower quality than in the service's own app. The service decides this, not MiruXR.

Android apps with protected video Android

Section titled "Android apps with protected video "

If you open a video app like Netflix or Disney+ from the Android apps section of the deck, MiruXR opens its website instead, because protected video can't show inside a window. See Android app limits.

YouTube works with or without signing in. To sign in with your Google account on Android, you need MiruXR 2.2.1 or newer; see Sign in to websites.

  • Full screen: when a video goes full screen, tap Exit full screen on the phone to leave it.
  • A video plays black or won't start: try Reset web data in the phone's Settings. It signs you out of websites, so you will need to sign in again.
