Picture and display problems
This page covers problems with what you see in the glasses: where the screen sits, its size, 3D and black video.
iPhoneAndroidWindows move too much when you turn your head
Section titled "Windows move too much when you turn your head"In Spatial with Space, the XREAL One glasses should be in their own Follow mode. If they are in Anchor, both the glasses and MiruXR move the windows, and it feels too sensitive. Switch the glasses to Follow with their button. See Choose a mode.
The screen follows my head in Screen
Section titled "The screen follows my head in Screen"Screen relies on the glasses to hold the screen in place. On Android, MiruXR doesn't change the glasses' own Anchor or Follow setting, so put the glasses in Anchor with their button. Android
The screen is too big or its corners are cut off
Section titled "The screen is too big or its corners are cut off"With some glasses, like the Air series, MiruXR can make the screen smaller:
- Open the settings in the glasses (the settings icon on the deck or the strip).
- On the Glasses tab, choose Screen size.
- Make it smaller until you see the 4 amber corners completely, then tap Done.
If Screen size isn't there, your glasses set their size themselves.
The screen is full
Section titled "The screen is full"In Screen, windows sit side by side on one fixed screen, so only so many fit. Close a window, or switch to Space to open more.
The reminder about Ultrawide
Section titled "The reminder about Ultrawide"In Screen, MiruXR may remind you to turn on Ultrawide in the glasses' own menu, for a wider screen. If your phone can't show Ultrawide (the Pixel 8 can't, for example), MiruXR stops reminding you.
"Your phone can't show that glasses mode"
Section titled ""Your phone can't show that glasses mode""Some glasses modes need a very wide picture (Ultrawide, and full-width 3D). Some phones can't send it. MiruXR then goes back to a mode the phone can show, for example 2D or Half SBS for 3D.
If the glasses stay stuck in a mode the phone can't show, MiruXR asks you to unplug them and plug them back in. Do that, and the glasses start again in a normal mode.
3D doesn't turn on
Section titled "3D doesn't turn on"- With Air glasses, turn on 3D with the glasses' button: hold Brightness + for 3 seconds. With XBX, hold X. MiruXR tells you when it needs this.
- On iPhone, 3D in a window works in Theater only. iPhone
- If your phone can't show 3D with these glasses, MiruXR tells you. See Turn 2D into 3D.
A web video plays black
Section titled "A web video plays black"- On the phone, open Settings > Support.
- Tap Reset web data and confirm. You will need to sign in to websites again.
Protected video from apps, like the Netflix app on Android, always comes out black inside a MiruXR window. See Streaming services.
360 videos don't open
Section titled "360 videos don't open"360 videos need glasses with head tracking. With glasses MiruXR uses only as a screen, MiruXR tells you and doesn't open them. See Supported glasses.
Start over Android
Section titled "Start over "To close every window and clear the saved session, go to the phone's Settings > Support and tap Reset session.
