Browse the web

The Browser opens web pages as big windows in the glasses. You can open several at once, keep your favorite sites on the deck and watch web videos.

Open a page

  1. Open the deck and tap Browser. It starts on a search page.
  2. Aim at the page and tap the phone to click. Slide two fingers on the phone to scroll.
  3. Aim at a text field and tap to type. See Type text.

The window bars

  • Page bar: point all the way up to see Back, Address and Reload. Tap the address to type a new one.
  • Window bar: point at the bottom edge to see close (X), more options (three dots), your windows and home. In Spatial, the bar is right below each window.

Tap the three dots on the window bar:

Option What it does
Bring to center Brings the window in front of you (Spatial only)
Theater Switches between Theater and Spatial, keeping this window in front
Desktop site Shows the desktop version of the site instead of the mobile one
Zoom With the desktop site on: smaller text and more content, or bigger text and less content
Save to dock Adds the site to your deck as its own icon
Close Closes the window

Save a site to the deck

  1. Open the site in the browser.
  2. In the window menu, tap Save to dock.
  3. In Save app, check the Name and the Short name, then tap Save.

The site now has its own icon on the deck.

Reorder or remove icons on the deck

  1. Aim at an icon, then touch and hold the phone to pick it up.
  2. Move it to its new place and let go.
  3. To remove it, pull it out of the grid until you see Release to remove, and let go. MiruXR asks before removing it.

If you remove one by mistake, tap Undo on the phone right away. You can always add a site back by saving it again.

Videos in full screen

When a web video goes full screen, the glasses have no button to leave it. Tap Exit full screen on the phone.

If a site misbehaves

If a site stops working, for example a video that plays black:

  1. On the phone, open Settings > Support.
  2. Tap Reset web data and confirm.

This clears the saved data of all websites and signs you out of them (YouTube, Netflix and others). Your MiruXR settings are kept.
